Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame
The
Hall of Fame was established to honor the contributions of
those whose efforts have added significantly to the heritage
of the Cape Verdean community. Those eligible for membership
are people, living or deceased, of Cape Verdean descent, American
born or immigrant, who live or have lived in the New England
area. Those whose reputations have contributed to the Cape
Verdean community in New England are eligible.
Portraits of the inductees will hang in the hall of the Cape
Verdean Museum Exhibit as a permanent exhibit honoring the
accomplishments of those who have played so significant a
role in Cape Verdean history and its’ continuing growth,
joining the portraits of previous years.
Nomination Information
If you wish to nominate a person for induction into the Cape
Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame, please send a letter of nomination
along with a biography, no more than two pages, and a 5 x
7 portrait to the following address or email to
info@cvmuseum.org.

To be eligible for nomination, an individual must have brought
credit to the Cape Verdean community and contributed to the
history, prominence and heritage of the Cape Verdean community.
Said individual must have made his/her reputation in the New
England area. Nomination is not tantamount to election to
the Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame.
The last Cape Verdean Heritage Hall of Fame Banquet and Award
Ceremony was held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Venus
de Milo. The next one will occur in 2010 - to be
announced.
